1. Fuller’s Earth
If your hair produces excessive oil then you must go for fuller’s earth along with lemon. Just form a mixture of one cup of fuller’s earth with 2-3 tablespoons of lemon and some water. Apply the mixture for about 20 minutes and then rinse all. It will remove all the oil, grease, and dirt while improving the blood circulation to the scalp which will prevent dandruff.
Aspirin contains salicylic acid which is one of the most used ingredients for dandruff treatment in shampoos and conditioners as it has great anti-inflammatory properties. All you have to do is take two tablets of aspirin and crush them to make them in powder form. Then add the powder to the shampoo and shampoo as you usually do. This will exfoliate your scalp and treat your dandruff.
3. Baking soda
This is an easy home remedies for dandruff treatment. Baking soda helps in removing the dead skin cells and the extra oils present in your hair. All you have to do is rub baking soda on your wet hair, let it stay for two minutes, and then rinse it off properly. You may feel for the first couple of weeks that your hair has become rough but you need not worry as they will get better with time when the scalp will start producing natural oil on its own.
4. Apple Cider Vinegar
It is believed that the acid in apple cider vinegar is helpful in shedding the dead cells and maintaining the pH balance of the scalp which helps in reducing fungus and preventing dandruff. Add an equal amount of water and apple cider vinegar in a bowl and pour the mixture on your head. Massage well for 10-15 minutes and then rinse. You can have the solution lukewarm if you wish to. The acidic nature of ACV will stop the growth of the yeast in your hair.
5. Tea Tree Oil
According to studies, tea tree oil has the ability to fight a particular strain of fungus that causes dandruff. Moreover, its anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory properties also help in eradicating dandruff. Just add a couple of drops in your shampoo and rinse after 5 minutes. Following the process, twice a week would be great.
6. Coconut Oil
Coconut oil has numerous health benefits and is an easy way for dandruff removal at home. Coconut oil soothes the scalp and its anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory properties help to reduce the itch caused by dandruff fungus. Apply lukewarm coconut oil overnight and wash it next morning to get best results.
