Yoga and Exercises for Healthy and Glowing Skin

Yoga has a spectacular impact on my life.” According to her, yoga helps in proper blood circulation, which reduces dullness and acne. Yoga exercises for healthy and glowing skin not only give you outer beauty but helps you to feel beautiful inside out. It helps in tightening the skin, making it firm and reducing the wrinkles and fine lines.

Yoga Exercises

1.    Sarvangasana- Shoulder Stand

If you wish to get rid of acne, dullness, redness and wrinkles on your face and have a healthy and glowing skin, try this asana. Lie down straightly and slowly push up your legs to 90° angle. Try to make a straight line with abdomen, chest, and legs. This will help in circulating the blood towards your face which will give you a glowing skin.

2.   Utthanasana- Forward Bending Pose


Also known as intense stretch pose, just like Sarvangasana, it helps in circulation of blood towards the face. To do this, you have to first stand straight, then exhale gently. After that, start bending down slowly from the hips (not the waist) and touch your chest and stomach to your thighs. Try to keep your legs straight and hold your heels from behind. Slowly get back to your standing position after 30 seconds. This yoga exercise will also help you in getting rid of acne, dullness, redness etc.

3.    Matsyasana- Fish Pose

Fish pose keeps your skin healthy by balancing the hormones, taking care of the normal functioning of pituitary glands, thyroid, and pineal glands. It is especially beneficial for those who have a double chin as it reduces the fat by stretching the face and throat. Lie down on your back straightly. Put your hands below your hips, press your elbows and forearms against the floor and gently form an arc by lifting your back and resting your head on the ground. Stay in this position for 15-30 seconds.

4.    Trikonasana- Triangle Pose

This is considered one of the best yoga pose for a healthy and glowing skin. It opens up the chest, lungs, and heart by providing them with oxygen and thus, making the skin feel refreshing and rejuvenated. Stand straight and place your legs 4 feet apart. Keep your hands parallel to each other and slowly inhale air. As you exhale, bend down from below your hips and ensure that your waist and arms are straight. Do the same on the other side.

5.    Savasana- Corpse Pose

This might not sound physically challenging but it is definitely a big challenge for you mentally as you have to put your mind in a state of complete relaxation without any thought. It helps in calming down your mind, heart, brain, and nerves. You just have to calmly lie down, with your arms on their respective sides facing upwards. It will relieve you from stress and will prove to be a great method of meditation. It is, therefore, one of the best and most important yoga exercises for healthy and glowing skin.
