Causes of Uneven Skin Tone
Excessive pollution like gaseous or traffic-related polluted air and other kinds of pollution which your skin fights against in your daily lives are harmful to your skin. These can lead to certain scars or brown spots which can make your skin tone look uneven.
2. Sun Exposure
UV rays emitted from the sun cause great damage to the skin. When your body receives excessive rays, your skin starts to produce melanin in huge amounts. When these pigments absorb UV rays in huge amounts, they make certain areas on the skin darker due to which the skin gets an uneven skin tone.
The primary factor to determine your skin tone is your age. It is, therefore, a very important causes of uneven skin tone. The older you grow, the weaker your skin becomes depending upon the production of melanin in your body. These age-related spots visible on your skin can lead to an uneven skin tone as well.
4. Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation
Post-inflammatory Hyper Pigmentation is also known as scarring. When any part of your skin has a scar left by some wound, the scar may get darker with time. This darkening can occur in the case of acne or even due to any skin injury.
5. Hormonal Changes
Mostly occurring during pregnancy, hormonal changes play a very important role in determining our skin tone. An increase in the hormone stimulation is known as melasma. It is a hormone related to stimulation. Generally, hormones face a drastic change when we excessively intake contraceptives in high quantities.
Exfoliation is the basic step to remove scarring. Exfoliation will help in removing the dead skin cells thus, giving space to moisturizer and serums to penetrate into the skin and work effectively.
2. Apply SPF
Applying sunscreen will help you build a protective layer over your skin which will prevent hyperpigmentation as well as prevent new spot formation at the same time. Redness and age spots will also be reduced by applying sunscreen.
3. Stay Hydrated
Drinking water will help you stay hydrated inside out. It will soothe your skin while removing dryness and even redness. You should even keep your face and hands moisturized.
4. Eatables to Avoid
There are certain foods which you must avoid in order to protect yourself from uneven skin tone. Foods high in sugar can cause wrinkles and age spots. Alcohol and other such beverages dilate the blood vessels leading to a flushed face. Greasy, processed, and non-organic dairy and spicy foods must also be avoided.
