How to Stop Breakouts? | Prevent Pimples
Acne or breakouts is one thing everyone is afraid of. Pimples can come up anywhere on the skin at any age. Usually, they occur when androgen hormones trigger but sometimes, they can be genetic as well. However, it is very exhausting to keep on trying different types of medications, treatments, herbs etc. but unfortunately, this is the only option we have- trial and error method, to prevent pimples.

1. Cleansing Twice
Irrespective of the type of skin you have, you must cleanse your face twice a day. It helps in removing all the bacteria, dirt, and excess oil which gets deposited on your face. Washing your face helps in clearing your clogged pores, thus reducing the chances of breakouts.
Moisturising is very important to maintain the elasticity of the skin and prevent the skin from getting dry. If you do not moisturise your face after cleansing, your skin will automatically start producing sebum which will clog the pores and attract bacteria. This, in turn, will cause acne.
3. Avoid Make-up
Make-up and other extra creams and lotions must be strictly avoided except moisturiser. However, in case it is very important to put on make-up, you must make sure that you use non-comedogenic products and remove the make-up using a deep cleanser as soon as possible to stop breakouts. You must avoid every product which has fragrance as it might be irritating to your skin.
It is important to use sunscreen as UV rays emitted by the Sun are harmful to the skin because it triggers acne and also can cause inflammation and redness in the exposed area. You should prefer sunscreen with either SPF 30 or higher but make sure that you use non-comedogenic sunscreen as certain sunscreens contain oil elements which can trigger acne.
5. Healthy diet
You must eat a fresh and healthy diet. You must prefer fruits and vegetables and avoid greasy and oily food. Fruits rich in Vitamin A, E, and C are very beneficial for your acne. Broccoli, spinach, oranges, tomatoes, etc. are some of the foods rich in Vitamins which can help you to prevent pimples.
6. Water intake
You must be aware of the fact that our body constitutes 60 per cent water and therefore, water is an important component of our body. It keeps the body hydrated and helps in flushing out the impurities from the body. Drinking 5-8 glasses of water per day helps your metabolism to function properly.
7. Home-Made Face Masks
Exfoliating your skin regularly is important in order to stop breakouts. However, you must be careful about the kind of mask you use. Study your skin and then apply the mask accordingly. Exfoliating is important as it washes away the dead cells and deeply cleanses the skin.
8. Do Not Touch
Your hands have various kinds of impurities and bacteria. So, you must avoid touching your acne in order to stop breakouts. However, popping pimples gives a very satisfying feeling but you must know that the bacteria spread around, giving way the more bacteria and the healing of a pimple that you pop also takes a longer time span.
