7 Steps to Healthy and Glowing Skin

Everyone must pamper their skin as it is one of the most important parties of your body which adds to your personality and confidence. In this busy life, we tend to get less time to take care of our skin and end up aging faster.

Healthy and Glowing skin in 5 minutes

1.    Cleanse well

In order to have a healthy and glowing skin, you must wash your face twice a day gently with lukewarm water. This will take off your make up. Then gently pat your face with a clean towel and let it dry for a while and apply toner evenly to your face. Post this, you must apply moisturiser. Leaving your skin dry for the night will make it produce oil (called sebum) by itself.

2.    Exercise

You must keep your body working by exercising daily in order to keep yourself safe from anxiety. It is good not only for staying fit physically but also for your skin. When you exercise, sweat is released which opens up the pores and removes all the accumulated dirt. Healthy exercising is also good for your complexion. Make sure that you wash your face after coming back so that it will remove all the dirt that is accumulated on your face and bring a natural glow to your face.

3.    Bedding

Since you come in contact with your bed and pillows daily, it is important to wash them on time.  It is preferable to use cotton sheets and pillow covers as they allow easy breathing.  Moreover, one should sleep on his/her back or on your side but never on your stomach. You must avoid watching television or using mobile phones before going to bed to have a healthy and glowing skin.

4.    Drink water

Your skin is made up of cells and cells are made up of water, therefore, if you do not drink enough water, it may lead to dehydration. Water helps in regeneration of skin as it removes toxins from your body through urine. Moreover, it protects your skin form possible wrinkles and acne. Drinking water is the best way to have a natural glow on your face. Studies have said that one should drink more water during the day and less at night.

5.    Excess cortisol

Excess intake of cortisol can also increase our appetite and make us crave sugar and fatty foods which contain serotonin which is a chemical to improve moods. Not only will it spoil your skin but also make you gain weight as you will be tempted to eat fatty and weight gaining foods.

6.    Meditate

Meditation is important for every kind of body. Five minutes of meditation can save you from a lot of anxiety. It helps in releasing chemicals that counter stress hormones. All you have to do is sit in a calm place, adjust in the peaceful environment, sit straight and put your arms on your lap, close your eyes. Once you are in your position sitting comfortably, inhale air slowly through your nose, hold for some time and then slowly exhale through your mouth. Meditation promises to keep your skin glowing.

7.    Sleep and stress

Healthy and glowing skin requires proper sleep and no stress. These are the two most important things to be taken care of. A body needs eight hours of sleep to remain healthy and attractive. When you do not have enough sleep, your blood vessels dilate which result in dark circles, and your skin becomes dull as your collagen level decreases, inflammation level increases in the body which can lead to changes in the immune system. Taking stress can make you age faster and cause wrinkles on your face. So, it is better to live a stress-free life and have proper sleep or say beauty sleep.
